The power of one.
The impact of many.
For anyone that hopes to make a big impact in their local community, Giving Tuesday is a great way to get involved. It all starts with the power of one.
Every act of volunteerism, kindness, or philanthropy is amplified on Giving Tuesday. When we join together, the collective giving power of people in our community can improve thousands of local lives. In fact, that collective power helped improve the lives of over 163,000 people in Calgary and area thanks to donations to United Way from people just like you.
On Giving Tuesday, December 3, we’re showing our love for the places we call home by coming together to support those who need it most. Will you join us? Sign up to receive updates on how you can help solve #UNIGNORABLE issues in your community
Twitter Chat: Share your local good
Giving Tuesday is a chance to give local. But what does that mean? Join us Dec. 3 for a Twitter Chat using #DoLocalGood and share your thoughts on giving local, who inspires you, and how you are playing a part in making your community better.
Create a culture of giving
Over the past 30 years, Pembina has given over $21M to United Way of Calgary and Area. And giving back to their community is now an integral part of their company culture. This year, they raised $3.8M, and staff actively participate in helping improve local lives.
Show your power
Get a jump start on Giving Tuesday and demonstrate your individual power by making your donation now. Your gift today has a lasting impact on your local community, improves local lives, and helps solve our community’s most pressing #UNIGNORABLE issues
What is Giving Tuesday?
Established in 2012 as a celebratory kickoff to the holiday giving season, Giving Tuesday happens on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Since then, it has become a global philanthropic event! On Giving Tuesday, your donation is supercharged by the collective giving that happens on this extraordinary day.
Together, we can fight #UNIGNORABLE issues like poverty, mental health, and social isolation. Mark your calendar to show your local love, do local good, and create lasting social change.
